A Throwback to Christmas

In the honor of Christmas traditions, I'm throwing it back with some old school photos. Because they are too good not to share :)

I mean who can resist a red dress, flocked tree and legit sliver tinsel?!

I read a quote the other day, "I used to think being a kid on Christmas was the best thing ever, but it turns out having kids on Christmas is!" I couldn't agree more! So let's take a stroll down Christmas lane.... aka me as a kid on Christmas.

I'm the oldest of 3 and apparently I wanted to be front and center in this Santa photo. Because it isn't Christmas without a photo with Santa. This is a Christmas tradition I'm carrying on with Emerson. This year she didn't cry, but she also didn't sit on Santa's lap. Instead she held his hand.

Growing up we spent every Christmas Eve at our grandparents house. Everyone would come over. It was awesome getting to spend Christmas Eve with all of my cousins. I can't wait for Emerson to experience this. My sister is due with her first in April. So Emerson will soon have one cousin on each side! Both boys. Emerson's still hoping my sister's baby is a girl. HAHA

Because this was too good not to share. I mean what baby LOVES Santa. Apparently this girl. This is me circa 1982

Tree Trimming! I have no clue how old I was or where this photo was taken, but I'm pretty darn proud of that ornament. This year we set up a tree in Emerson's room and she LOVED it. Once we got passed taking off and putting on ALL the ornaments everyday..... We might have a future decorator on our hands.

Well that was a fun (and random) walk down Christmas memory lane. Oh, Christmas. The time of year to drink hot chocolate and hangout with your family in matching pajamas!

I can't wait to create memories with Emerson and the next generation!
